This brace was designed for replacement of the Chassis brace when upgrading the factory exhaust system with an aftermarket system. When you install an aftermarket system, It is mandatory that you modify or remove the factory Chassis brace behind the second Catalytic Convertors. This plate is designed to fit in the stock location of the original bracing but is made to clear the exhaust. This plate is also thicker than the OEM Brace, So it will add to the more stability to the car.
